When I was disgnosed with melanoma in 2004 I was like any other wife and mother wondering if this type of diagnosis was a death sentence. It dawned on me that I could be pushing up daisies, SO, I decided that any day you can plant a daisy instead of push one up is a good day...make the most of it.
Just so you know a little bit about the red-head behind the writings. I am 46 years old, live in Ft. Myers, FL and I've been married to John for almost 26 years. We have 2 amazing children, well not children anymore, Tyler is 24 and Sarah-Michelle is 17. We share our home with 3 cats and 2 dogs, all with personalities of their own. I love gardening and have recently returned to the garden to try to produce food for our table. I am an aspiring writer, a 6th grade Sunday school teacher, and I love to sing. I'm a cancer survivor and living with celiac disease. My writings tend to be more serious and sometimes there's a bit of humor. My husband especially likes when I write about him and our life in the navy. I'm a firm believer in "the best is yet to come"...because I am heaven bound. Until then I'll make the most of this life.
